This place is ideal for what we needed. It's walking distance from the cruise port and it was soooo easy to just stroll down there even with our luggage (on wheels) The room is small but if course we only slept there and woke up, took a shower and left so it was fine. The bed was surprisingly comfortable and it was cleaner than expected so don't let the bad reviews dissuade you. If you just want to walk around pike place or to the port, this is the perfect spot for saving $

Safe and affordable motel in the heart of downtown Seattle. Super clean rooms (historic building). Friendly, competent staff. Gated parking. No frills, no major flaws. Dave, the overnight staff went out of his way to accommodate our request and even followed up later to make sure we were comfortable. Enjoyed our stay.

It was good. And the best part of staying here is the mosque which is next door. Restaurants are bit far and Amazon campus is 2 mins walkable distance and Spears Tower is nearby

Had a good stay overall! The location was great as it was close to many Seattle attractions, making it easy to explore the city on foot. The hotel offered free breakfast with light snacks, which was a nice touch before heading out for the day. The only downsides were the street noise at night, as sirens from ambulances or fire trucks could be heard from the room, and the lack of an elevator, which made carrying two big pieces of luggage up to the third floor a bit challenging. Still, it was a convenient and comfortable stay for a short trip.

I'm satisfied with my stay at The Dylan. It's one of the cheapest hotels in the Downtown area - for a reason. No-frills rooms with a small fridge, coffee maker, desk, and tv. Bathrooms have everything you would need. You can tell they're trying to upgrade rooms slowly - the furniture is more modern but the walls show the building's age with bumps and exposed power cables for the lights and fridge. Everything in the room was clean, just dated. I think my biggest annoyance was that he room didn't have an overhead light - only lamps. But not a huge deal. No microwave in the room, but there is one in the lobby along with coffee and tea. In the mornings, there is a grab and go breakfast with bottles water, pastries, fruit, and granola bars. As someone who doesn't necessarily need a hot breakfast, just SOMETHING in my body in the morning, I was satisfied with this. There's also a nice donut shop right next door. Staff were nice, all younger people but were quick to help if you needed anything. I had a first floor room which did allow for more noise but I brought sleep earplugs the gate to enter the hotel closes at 10 PM which was nice as that means no one random can walk in during the night. If you just need somewhere to sleep and shower during your Seattle trip that is safe - book here. If you want a pool, a hot breakfast, etc... you won't find it here. For the price, I am happy with my stay, and I will consider it again for any budget trips in the future.

In the middle of the REAL Seattle. Cheap, room was nice and clean, no bed bugs, clean bathroom and towels. We got a room on the first floor and it was not quiet, personally didn’t bother us since my friend and I were only staying the night because we needed somewhere to crash after partying in Cap Hill which coming down the hill was a pretty walkable distance. We had a small space heater that was greatly appreciated. TV is not a smart tv but we had wifi, ice, coffee and some stuff to grab for breakfast. Very nice. My only complaint is about the reception. The staff working at night and in the morning were very nice and attentive, but the person who checked us in was somewhat rude. I understand they may be fed up with certain people in the area, but as tourists, it made us feel a little uncomfortable. Luckily, there weren’t any problems and we were checked in pretty fast with our last minute reservation through a third party app - I must say this is the only way I recommend reserving here, otherwise they were charging $115 a night and for that price you better go ahead and pay just a bit more to get an actual hotel versus a motel room. For $72 it was solid though. We were asked for a deposit, I don’t know if this is standard for everyone or if they took us for homeless people and wanted to be sure we didn’t destroy the room. The cleaning team really doing their job!

The Dylan is an affordable motel that I think is trying to work their way up to a modern destination stay one upgrade at a time. I enjoyed my stay and would return if the price was still right. The staff were helpful in the most nonchalant way. The room was very clean and it looked the the bed and some of the furniture was brand new. The bathroom sink had original green tiles which I love, even though some people might find it outdated. It was squeaky clean so who cares. The curtain is not black out, and doesn't really cover the whole window so there was a small bit where I could see out and someone could see in if they tried. Nonetheless, I felt very safe during my stay. The do not disturb sign blows off the door handle all the time so there were two days where I received maid service when I did not require it. Not a big deal, I just don't like wasting their time. It was walkable to the piers, the market, Belltown, Uptown, and Space Needle. Lots of transit options very close.
